Police launched a major investigation after a woman’s body was found on a main street in Joondalup on Wednesday morning.
The body was found on Grand Boulevard, outside the Arthouse apartments and near the café Cinnayum. Emergency services were called around 9.45am.
Local resident Ken Forrest said he came across the scene at about 8.30am. He said the area was quickly filled with police tape and emergency vehicles.
Police believe a man left the woman’s body outside the building and then ran from the area. Detectives are treating her death as suspicious. Around 30 officers were at the scene by 12.30pm.
Part of Grand Boulevard was blocked off while police worked to find out what happened. Officers also took CCTV footage from the apartment complex and nearby businesses.
