Regarding the national home care approval list, Julie Collins MP stated in her press conference in the electorate of Hinkler today that: “The list exists because of Labor’s Living Longer Living Better reforms last time we were in Government.”
This is simply untrue. Labor’s reforms did not create a nationally consistent way of ensuring people got fair access to home care. They never had the courage to try to understand demand for home care.
The national home care approval list only came into being after the passage of the Coalition Government’s Increasing Choice In Home Care reforms, on 27 February 2017.
You can’t believe a word Labor says about aged care.
