$1 million for Kalamunda Community Learning Centre

The Kalamunda community will benefit from a re-elected Turnbull Government with the announcement today of a $1 million commitment to the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre (KCLC).

Federal Member for Hasluck Ken Wyatt AM MP today announced this commitment that will benefit the local community.

Mr Wyatt said KCLC is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation serving people of all ages in the community who wish to continue their learning in a number of different subjects.

“Currently, KCLC have to hire space in a number of locations to conduct classes, which is costly. This expansion project of Jorgensen Park will enable KCLC to expand their course offering and course sizes,” Mr Wyatt said.

“Having been in operation for 37 years and with more than 700 members, KCLC is an organisation that brings the entire community together through learning.

“The entirely volunteer run organisation also reaches outside the Kalamunda area with many Perth residents accessing the facility.”

“It’s a very worthwhile cause and I am delighted to be able to make this announcement today.

The Turnbull Government is dedicated to building stronger communities across Australia.

“We understand that by investing in projects such as this one, we help grow a more vibrant and viable community,” Mr Wyatt said.
